Well hello. Thanks for stopping by. I'm Betty, and I'm married to a pretty fantastic guy named Brandon. We have a spunky toddler named Avery who has made our lives happier and busier than ever. She is actually the reason I’m starting this blog – in attempt to find some balance between being mommy, wife, and working professional. A little history on why I need this...
Before baby, I had always taken pride in my ability to find balance in my life. I exercised almost every day, cooked and ate healthy meals, made time for the important people in my life, pursued several hobbies, and was a multi-tasking queen. Nowadays, I feel lucky if I can check 2 items off my to-do list for the day (showering and eating lunch count as 2 items, BTW). Part of this is because I know how precious and fleeting this time is with my little girl, and all I want to do is soak up every moment with her. On the other hand, I’ve come to realize that I cannot be a great mommy if I neglect my own needs.
So my plan for the blog is simply this: document my journey in seeking balance through the crazy world that is mommyhood. Why? Because I’m a type A gal who likes to write everything down. Because I want to keep myself accountable for exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. And because mommyhood is an experience worth sharing.
